Slow like a turtle.

I woke up at 12:10 feeling gross and dirty because of the late-NESS hahaha. Now, I'm blogging and watching Never Been Kissed; Gosh, I have no life. /:

So far, my summer has been kind of slow. Started off on the computer all day, then got ready and was on my way to the mall with Savanners! We went shopping at Forever 21 (like every teenage girl) and got some clothes. Then, having spent all of our money, we headed for the food court to chill and people watch. We got really hungry, so we ended up going to Sbarro's for a slice of delicious cheese pizza. We went back to the table and, of course, we ended up being watched instead of us people watching; some Asian guys were staring at us, and they made it really uncomfortable for Savannah to eat. She finally asked them if she could help them with anything, and she left them speechless. They said one of the guys likes her, and she said she was going out with me; this struck me by surprise, so I just nodded. We ended up eating our pizza in peace, finally, and our headaches went away.

We headed home, and my dad couldn't stop embarrassing me! He kept talking about my hair when it is not fixed and how it looks like a lion's mane, and that I need to wear a helmet if i ever get a bike. My parents went to eat a Thai food place in Long Beach, and me and Savannah stayed at my house watching Stepbrothers, eating fruit snacks, fruit roll ups, Lays chips, and drinking fruit punch.

That's it! My summer is starting so slow, like a turtle! I will have to something about that, won't I? The weekend is family time (: Father's day is tomorrow! We bought my dad a grill. My dad is so amazing. He's been there through anything, and he always encourages me and supports me in anything I do.

This movie, Never Been Kissed, is making me really sad. It shows how shallow high school students can be; they only like you if you wear nice clothes, if you're beautiful, if you're "going out" with a cute guy/girl (or it could make them not like you even more), or if you're really talented and popular yourself. No one really cares about brains anymore; that's what matters most. Who wants to talk to someone who can't even hold a good conversation with someone about something other than the lastest fashions or movies and music? There's more to the world than entertainment and how people dress. There are things like the environment or current news. Let this burn in your mind: will it really matter ten years from now what fashions were "hip" and what clothes were worn? Or what music was in and what was out? It's going to out in ten years, too. Doesn't it just matter on what could change the world? What will be happening later?
